An intense and rich oriental woody fragrance built around a distinctive combination of Damask rose and oud. Saffron, patchouli, sandalwood, guaiac wood, cashmere wood, labdanum, musk and amber accords add depth and warmth.

A bold Arabic perfumery-style fragrance with a deep woody, floral and spicy character. Particularly well suited to autumn and winter collections or candles designed to have a rich, distinctive perfume-like profile.

This fragrance is very intense, so we recommend starting at approximately 3–5% in candles and increasing the fragrance load only after testing.

Please note: the flash point is not a recommended temperature for adding fragrance oil to wax.

Recommended Use

Candles:

Due to the strength of this fragrance, we recommend initially testing it at approximately 3–5%.

General usage guidance provided for this fragrance:

• paraffin wax – approximately 4–6%;
• vegetable wax – approximately 5–6%;
• stated maximum in vegetable wax – 10%.

A higher fragrance load does not necessarily result in a stronger-performing candle. Wax, wick, vessel, production method and fragrance concentration all affect performance, so a test pour and full burn test are essential.

Reed diffusers:

• up to 20% with Augeo Clean Multi, according to the formulation-specific documentation supplied for this fragrance.

Room fragrance products:

• up to 5% with a cyclopentasiloxane base, according to the supplied documentation.

If a different base, concentration or end use is selected, the relevant IFRA, CLP, labelling and, where applicable, UFI / PCN requirements must be reassessed.

Evaluating the Fragrance

Fragrance oil is a concentrated fragrance composition, so we do not recommend evaluating it directly from the bottle.

For an initial assessment, apply a small amount to a fragrance testing strip. The true character, intensity and balance of the fragrance are best assessed in the finished product.

Colour Changes

This fragrance oil is brown and may affect the colour of white or pale candle wax, reed diffuser base or room fragrance formulations.

A colour change caused by fragrance oil can be normal and does not in itself indicate a product defect.

Always test a small batch before larger-scale production.
